IPL 2023: BCCI sanction heavy Punishment on Amit Mishra and Henrich Klassen as they Breach Code of Conduct during LSG vs SRH Clash
IPL 2023 has reached towards its penultimate end, where most teams are competing against each other for the Playoffs spot.
In the recent clash between LSG and SRH, altercation happened between Amit Mishra and Henrich Klassen where the latter played a terrific knock of 44 runs against Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday night.
Based on the statement revealed by IPL, Henrich Klassen was found making inappropriate comment towards Amit Mishra and has been fined 10 percent of his match fees.
“Heinrich Klaasen has been fined 10 Percent of his match-fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during Match 58 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on May 13,” the IPL statement read.
“Klaasen admitted to the Level 1 Offence under Article 2.7 which states the use of public criticism/inappropriate comment in the IPL’s Code of Conduct,” it added.
“Disappointed of the crowd, to be honest, that’s not what you want. That also broke the momentum, not great umpiring either,” Klassen said while talking to the broadcasters.
The IPL Governing Council has also found Amit Mishra guilty for breaching IPL code of conduct under Article Section 2.2 due to his celebration after taking wicket of Klassen.
“Amit Mishra has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct. Mishra admitted to level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct which states abuse of equipment during the match. Mishra accepted the sanction,” the IPL release read.
“For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” it added.
Mishra after dismissing Klassen banged the ball right on the ground to show his anger but considering this from outside perspective it was not needed necessary at all.
Considering the current pace of IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals have been ruled out from the marquee event.
