IPL 2021: South Aftrican cricketer Rassie van der Dussen Joins the Rajasthan Royals Camp

Rajasthan Royals under the leadership of new skipper Sanju Samson has dealt with several injury problems of their players including the likes of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes who were ruled out of the tournament.

As per the latest news, South African batsman Rassie Van der Dussen joins the Royals Camp for the ongoing season of IPL 2021.

The Proteas player is completing his mandatory quarantine period of seven days and the reason why he is given preference over other overseas players is based on the fact that he has clinched 628 runs with an impressive average of 41.87. He has scored those runs at an impressive strike rate of 138.63.

His last five scores for his national side read as 37,25*,74*,34*, and 52 and the inclusion of Dussen in the playing X1 for Royals will be a huge boost for them.

Taking about their current performance in the ongoing season of the cash-rich league they have played 5 matches so far where they managed to win only two and they have to win the upcoming clash against Mumbai Indians in order to cement their mettle.

Rajasthan Royals have only won IPL once in the year 2008. In the 2020 edition of IPL, they finished at the last place in the points table.
