Indian Squad announced for the upcoming series against New Zealand and Australia, Suryakumar Yadav’s dream run continues.

New Zealand is set to tour India later in the month of January for a 3-match ODI and a 3-match T20I series. The matches will be played across the country in the latter half of January and the first week of February. Similarly, Australia is also scheduled to tour India from 9^th February 2023 for a 4-match Test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy) and a 3-match ODI series after that. The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) announced squads for the NZ series as well as for the first two tests against Australia.

Suryakumar Yadav who has been India’s best T20I player for the past two years now has deservedly been selected in both the ODI as well as T20I squads against NZ and has also been named the vice-captain of the team for the T20I series against New Zealand. These selections were no-brainers though if we talk about Suryakumar Yadav.

The exciting thing was Suryakumar Yadav’s inclusion in the Test team against Australia. At the age of 32 years, Suryakumar Yadav with his performances has made his way into the Indian test team as well. We at Sportzcraazy think that this is a tactical selection as well.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, Pant was not able to be a part of the Indian squad for the test series against Australia. In the absence of Pant, the Indian team needs batters like him who can score runs at a quicker rate and keep the scoreboard ticking. Since the tracks are expected to be turning ones, good batters of spin bowling are needed who can up the ante and put pressure on the bowlers. Suryakumar Yadav seems perfect for the role and can be a good batter in these conditions in the absence of Rishabh Pant.

Suryakumar Yadav was selected very late in the Indian T20I squad after a lot of hard work and persistence. He is reaping the benefits of his hard work and determination now as he is a part of the Indian squad in all three formats and is right there at the top among the legends of Indian cricket. It won’t be wrong to say that this is a “dream run” for Suryakumar Yadav which he has achieved with his hard work and dedication.
