India will have a great chance to win at Gabba as there is always a first time reveals Sunil Gavaskar

The third Test match between India and Australia will be certainly remembered as for years to come as the remarkable turnaround in the history of Test cricket. Where Visitors turn the tables against mighty Australia on fifth day to save the test match and due to which the series is currently poised at 1-1 at the moment with the final match that will be played in Gabba on January 15th 2021.

Indian batsman played an outstanding knock including the likes of Pujara, Pant, Vihari and Ashwin on the fifth day of Sydney Test match to make sure that India didn’t lose this match. It becomes even more special when everything is against you as racism remarks was made on Shiraj by Australian crowd followed by Tim Paine indescent remarks on Ashwin on last day and Wade unnecessarily intimidating Vihari and Ashwin but the only they were unable to do was to focus on their game.

However  Paine have received harsh criticism for his verbal banter with Ashwin and one such remark came from Sunil Gavaskar trophy whose name has been kept in Border-Gavaskar Trophy for which they are competing for at the moment.  Gavaskar lauded Indian team’s performance on the last day of Sydney Test match.  He added that India holds a strong chance of winning the series at Gabba.

“I wasn’t very certain that they would be even able to survive up to tea. But then, Rishabh Pant came in and went down the pitch to try and hit Nathan Lyon for those big sixes, threw him off his line and length. And then, Cheteshwar Pujara. He is the wall. Today is the original wall, Rahul Dravid’s birthday, and how happy he would be that his birthday is celebrated with one of the most famous fightbacks in Indian cricket history,” said a beaming Gavaskar to India Today.

“I predicted on Australian television that India is going to win the series 2-1. At the moment the series is 1-1. I know that the Gabba in Brisbane is Australia’s fortress but India have the ability to take on the Australians. They (Australia) have hardly lost there since 1988 but there is always a first time. If Ajinkya Rahane and company do it, I won’t be surprised at all,” concluded Gavaskar.

This series for India will also be remembered as not giving up during tough circumstances as their regular lineup which includes Shami, Ishant, Jadeja, Kl Rahul has been ruled out from the ongoing Test match due to injury. If India will pull up a victory against Australia at Gabba it will certainly haunt visitors for years to come.
