The star of the Indian team, Virat Kohli, had a strong performance on Day 4 of the fourth and final Test of the series against Australia. He went on to amass 186 runs and helped India reach a respectable 570/9 in their first innings. In November 2019 against Bangladesh, Kohli scored his last century in red ball cricket and today the 33-year-old ended a lengthy wait for the three-figure mark in the longest version of the game.
However, due to a string of wickets in the lower order, the great Indian batter was unable to reach his eighth double century and was compelled to go for a big hit. Although he missed out on the double century he still won many hearts.

Just after his performance, Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma revealed on her official Instagram account that the batter was sick throughout the time he was batting and yet managed to pull off one of the famous innings ever. โPlaying through sickness with this composure. Inspiring me always.โ – Anushka Sharma wrote.
Ahmedabad’s raging heat could have been one of the reasons behind Kohli’s sickness but one must congratulate the Delhi-born batter for his commitment and dedication to lead the charge and help his side reach a safe spot. Former India bowler Ajit Agarkar suggested that Kohli may have become sick due to the extreme heat in Ahmedabad whileย Axar Patel, had a partnership of 162-runs partnership with Kohli thinks the same.
The Man. The Celebration.

“One of the standout features of his career has been fitness, he works really hard. He spent over 8 hours batting in this heat, so you are bound to have some worry. But, if you have still carried on, it didn’t feel like it. I don’t think he missed any runs while running between wickets.” – said Ajit Agarkar via Star sports.
