ICC ODI Rankings: Shubman Gill Gets Reaches Best Career Ranking

Shubman Gill might not be at his best in the T20I happening against West Indies, but he is certainly a class batsman in the ODI. His average of 66 speaks of his talent. At the same time, he has been getting consistent 50+ or 100+ scores to maintain his batting standards. In the IPL 2023, Shubman Gill turned out to be the best batter,  and he went on to score over 800 runs. In the last five matches of the IPL 2023 he played, he scored 3 centuries. No doubt he has been in phenomenal form. But his West Indies tour has been very questionable.

Shubman Gill’s ODI ranking has gone up to no.5 now. This ranking was released by the ICC on Wednesday. The previous ranking of Shubman Gill was 7th, and now it has improved by two positions. Gill had not performed well in the Test and T20I of the West Indies tour, but he has been brilliant in the ODIs. 

With Ishan Kishan, he was able to make an important contribution to the victory of the Indian team.
