How much Indian cricket will miss star batter Rishabh Pant?

Indian wicket keeper-batter Rishabh Pant got severely injured after his car slammed into the divider while he was driving from Delhi to rorkee. He had major injuries to his head,back and feet and also a ligament injury. He himself was driving the car and was alone when the incident occurred and it happened around 5:30 am in morning.

The accident spot was just a few miles away from his home. After the accident he was immediately taken and admitted to the Saksham hospital near by new Delhi. He has got a ligament injury and Now, it is estimated that that it would take about 6 months to a year for his ligament injury to recover.

25 year old Pant has been one of the key players of team India and has represented India in first-class cricket, currently represents India in all international formats, and captains the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. He has been going through a great form since a few past ago, as he also got his maiden century struck in 2022 vs England and remained not out for this innings.

His test format records has been quite impressive as he is most consistent in this format and slammed 5 tons, that is the most no.of tons in any international format by him. The injury that Pant is going through will affect team India as well. As, he is a full time wicket keeper- batter and was named for India Squad in big tournaments like 2019 World Cup and ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

In May, 2022 Pant was also named as deputy of team India for the South Africa Series. The way Pant was playing and his consistency of great form, Team will lack a young maestro and had to afford a great loss, as, the recovery time period of the injury of Pant is quite a bit longer. Both the team and Pant will miss each other. Along with International matches and tournaments, Pant will also miss 2023 edition of IPL.
