Shekhawati Kings

The Real Kabaddi League season 2 proved to be a memorable and competitive tournament. It encouraged many grass root level players to display their Strengths as well as Weaknesses. In this article, Sportzcraazy will discuss about the factors that helped Shekhawati Kings win the Real Kabaddi League title for the second time in a row.

Strengths – Before becoming the most successful team the RKL, the Shekhawati Kings started the new season in a turtle’s pace. They remained winless in their first 4 matches, drawing 2 and losing 2 by 11 points and 1 point respectively. Their first win came in the 5th match and went on to win the following contests which helped them enter the semi-finals for the second straight time. This proves the fact that they know what to do in the most critical stages of the tournament. Their defence coped up really well and Head coach Jasbeer Hooda helped the players in keeping a solid mentality and also nourished their skillset. Their Raider was awarded as the man of the tournament and he was one of the reasons why Shehkawati Kings retained the RKL title.

Weakness – For some extent, Shekhawati Kings lacked experience which was evident in their first four fixtures. Their defence looked a bit bleak and weren’t able to compliment the raiders enough. A little bit of complacency had also hurt them initially but their Head coach helped in keeping the team grounded and retain the title comfortably.
