Taking about the upcoming encounter against Kings X1 Punjab MI Bowling Coach Shane Bond said they are focussing on taking KL Rahul’s wicket early in order to gain upper hand in the match.

KL Rahul has got runs against us in the past, he is a brilliant player. Look we know he is a dynamic player and he scores all around the ground. We also know that he takes his time in middle overs. So it will be an opportunity for us to create pressure on him if he gets that far in his innings against us. In the end, we cannot allow him to score runs he is strong at. We have a quality bowling attack so we have to put him under pressure. We are confident about our batting lineup, we have scored runs in all our matches, we are aware about the conditions as we have played two matches here” Bond pointed.

Recently Mumbai Indians lost the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a super over despite individual brilliance of Ishan Kishan who scored 99 runs when they played first barring super over. Lot of experts and fans criticised the decision taken by MI management as well as from the coach who didn’t send Kishan to bat in super over as he was striking the ball well but they decided to send Pandya and Pollard to the crease. To which MI head coach Jayawardene replied in post-match conference that “Anyone can see that he was tired as he batted throughout the innings so we needed someone fresh who can score 10- 12 runs for us in that super over.

There is certainly no point in denying that once again Indian batting talent with the likes of Sanju Samson, Shubhman Gill and Prithvi Shaw has surpassed the bowling talent till now in the ongoing edition of IPL 2020.
