Gambhir Trolls Afridi Controversial Kashmir Tweet: Cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir took a dig at Ex- Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi, who asked UN and President Donald Trump to intervene after Modi led government scrapped Article 370 and 35 A, that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
5th August 2019 will be marked as a historic date as Rajya Sabha not only scrapped Article 370 but passed the Kashmir reorganization bill. Shahid Afridi tweeted “Kashmiris must be given their due rights as per UN resolution. The rights of Freedom like all of us.”
“Why was UN created and why is it sleeping? The unprovoked aggression and crimes being committed in Kashmir against humanity must be noted. US President Donald Trump must play his role to mediate,” he said

Gautam Gambhir didn’t waste much time and responded Afridi in his vintage sarcastic style “Afridi is spot on guys. There is ‘unprovoked aggression’; there are ‘crimes against humanity’. He should be lauded for bringing this up.”
“Only thing is he forgot to mention that all this is happening in ‘Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’. Don’t worry, will sort it out son!!! (sic)”

In the last few months, different global superpowers tried to intervene in Kashmir conflict, where US President Donald Trump, last week, also tried to mediate between both the parties, but India stood firm in their stance and cleared that the issue will only be resolved bilaterally between the two Asian countries.
