Future of Harry Kane now on his hands as Spurs accept Bayern 100M bid

Harry Kane

England’s supreme Striker Harry Kane could find himself in the midst of major dilemma after Tottenham Hotspur accepted Bayern Munich’s 100 Million Euro bid for him. The Bundesliga giants have been relentlessly chasing for Kane’s signature this summer and their intensity to do so multiplied when Sadio Mane went to Al-Nassr.

The Senegalese International originally came in as a replacement for Polish sensation Robert Lewandowski who moved to FC Barcelona in 2022. However, it did not go as planned for Mane, who didn’t just underperform but also surrounded himself with controversies, with the Leroy Sane bust up becoming a talking point against him.

As Sadio Mane prepares to win his first Silverware in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, Bayern Munich’s chances of signing Kane has also significantly increased. It took Spurs at least 3-4 bids to be willing to sell their Club legend, who is English Premier League’s 2nd highest goal scorer (213), only behind Alan Shearer’s tally of 260.

The 30-year-old still has 2 years left on his current deal and he is eager to have his future sorted out before Tottenham’s Premier league opener against Brentford on Sunday, August 13. Reports broke out earlier today that Spurs Chairman Daniel levy has accepted the 32-time Bundesliga winners.

Though Harry Kane himself is yet to agree on personal terms with Bayern Munich but it seems as if Kane’s decade long stay in English football could come to an end. He has been with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City before commiting himself for Spurs’ senior side.

A fact that no football fan or pundit can deny is that Harry Kane is one of World’s unluckiest player ever when it comes to winning trophies with his team. What’s even more frustrating is that despite being counted among World’s most lethal goal scorer, Kane cannot find solace with Spurs.

In 2016, the Londoners had the best chance of winning the Premier League but their London rivals Chelsea denied them. Then in 2019, Spurs appeared for their 1st ever UCL Final only for Liverpool to win by 2-0. In 2021, Harry Kane and Tottenham again came closer to win a trophy – the Carabao Cup but Manchester City denied them in the final.

Bayern Munich on the other hand have won Bundesliga 11 times in a row now and won the UEFA Champions League twice last decade in 2013 and 2020. Will Kane join the Bavarians.
