Four Teams Eliminated from World Cup Qualifiers 2023

With the World Cup 2023 set to take place in India, eight teams have already secured their spots in the main round, including the host country, India. Meanwhile, the qualifier round is underway to select the final two teams to join the competition. Ten teams initially participated in Zimbabwe, but four have unfortunately been eliminated from World Cup Qualifiers 2023.

Six of the remaining teams, including the 1996 world champion Sri Lanka, have advanced to the Super Six stage. Sri Lanka registered an impressive 133-run victory against Ireland, securing their spot in the Super Sixes. This crucial round is scheduled to begin on June 29, and the qualifier tournament will culminate with the final match on July 9.

Six deserving teams have reached The Super Six stage, each surpassing the league stage of the qualifiers round. Zimbabwe, Netherlands, and West Indies emerged as victors from Group A, while Sri Lanka, Scotland, and Oman secured their places in the Super Six from Group B. 

 

However, the journey has ended for four teams: Nepal, USA, Ireland, and UAE. Regrettably, their aspirations of participating in the World Cup 2023 have been shattered.

Four Teams Eliminated from World Cup Qualifiers 2023

Nepal struggled to succeed, winning only one of their four matches. Unfortunately, their performance fell short, eliminating them from the tournament with a negative run rate of 1.171. The USA faced a disappointing outcome in this series as they failed to secure a single victory and elimination from the tournament.

Despite as a strong team, Ireland experienced a series of setbacks, failed to secure a single victory in this series, and got eliminated from the tournament. Despite a commendable performance, UAE’s batters couldn’t restrain a place in this series.

How Many Teams Will Qualify for World Cup Final From World Cup Qualifiers 2023

Ten teams will compete for the final in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023. While eight teams have already secured their positions, the remaining two spots will be determined through the World Cup Qualifiers 2023.

The World Cup Qualifiers 2023 Super Six stage will occur from June 29 to July 9. This vital tournament stage will witness the top six teams battling for a spot in the ICC Cricket World Cup Final.
