Aresenal striker Alexandre Lacazette said that wining FA cup is the only thing that can save their pride in the remaining season of 2019-20. His comment came on the crucial time as his club will be facing Chelsea in the FA Cup finals at the Wembley stadium later today.
“We are excited because we know we can save our season with a trophy,which would mean a lot for us and the fans,” Goal.com quoted Lacazette as saying.
“In this league, we finished in a bad position, we lost against Olympiacos early in the Europa League, so we missed few of our targets. That’s why I say it would save our season,”He added.
There have been huge slump in Arsenal form in the recently concluded 2019-20 Premier League season where they finished at the eight position which is touted as the club’s worst performance in 25 years.
In November they appointed Mikel Arteta as the coach of the club,Off Late, Their victory against Manchester City in the semifinals of the FA cup will give them immense confidence in the finals.
” I came to Arsenal to win trophies. Yes, it’s been really frustrating, but this is the part of Football. Nothing is ever easy and that’s why I love this sport beacuse if you learn from this and become
a great man with these kind of experiences,” Lacazzette said.
“But obviously at the end, you are a bit disappointed. So you just go forward to the next season to change this and to reach your targets. So obviously this time it’s a really big game for me and for Arsenal,” he added.
He also play for the France national team and mostly known for his pace, hold-up play, and work-rate. On 5th July 2017 he signed a 5 year contract with Arsenal from Lyon with an initial fee of $53 million.
