ESI Film Festival: First-ever film festival dedicated to esports
Esports Insider, a company that focuses on gaming and esports news, has announced the first-ever ESI Film Festival. This exciting event will present esports and gaming on a large screen for the audience to enjoy.
The festival will offer a substantial prize pool of around $13,000, with the intention of showcasing the positive influence that video games and esports can have on individuals’ lives.
The main event of the festival will happen on October 20 at the prestigious British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) headquarters in London, UK, specifically at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.
How to participate in the inaugural ESI Film Festival
Anyone who is 18 years old or older, whether they are individuals, groups, or companies, can enter the competition for free. The films submitted should not exceed 20 minutes in length.
To be eligible, the short films need to focus on at least one of these topics: digital inequality, diversity, and mental health.
The entries will be assessed based on different aspects such as how unique and creative they are, the story, the pace, the structure, the characters, the cinematography, and how entertaining they are. Additionally, the effectiveness of the message conveyed by the film and the filmmaker’s ability to engage the audience will also be taken into account.
The winners of the competition will be revealed on October 20 at the festival, and the first-place winner will receive a prize of $6,300.
To participate in the competition, you need to submit your film using the ESI Film Festival submission form before the deadline on September 1.
