English Premier League is touted as one of the most popular leagues in the world. Even if the upcoming season 2020-21 will be played behind closed doors but it has not impacted the popularity of these leagues in any way.

The officials of Premier League are working hard to develop broadcasting solutions so that matches can be broadcasted in China for all the Chinese fans who love the game of football and wants to see top players competing against each other in the mega event.

Taking about the broadcasting solutions in China, Richard Masters, Chief executive of English top-flight said that “they are working hard to find broadcasting solutions in China, Unfortunately, the first round matches of the 2020-21 season won’t be broadcasted in China”.

The reason why they are looking to find solutions as the Premier League officials terminated their cooperation with Chinese broadcaster PP Sports.

As they had a three-year contract with PP Sports starting from 2016. But the broadcaster withheld the payment of 160 million pounds which they were supposed to pay till March.

However, PP Sports officials clarified that they have already paid 50 per cent of the negotiated fee at the initial stage of the three-year circle.

Roger further said that we know that we have a huge  following in China and we are working hard to ensure that the broadcasting can be done in China as early as possible. We request Chinese fans to wait for some time as we are working on all aspects to make sure we find the right solution for this problem.

The upcoming season of Premier League starts from Saturday onwards and the matches will be played behind closed doors keeping all the safety and security procedures in mind. All 28 games of this season will be shown live on TV in UK.
