In the longest version of the game, India’s standout batsman Virat Kohli is having trouble maintaining his form.
The past two years have seen Kohli struggle to reach the milestone of an International Hundred, but once his mojo returned, he quickly reverted to his old ways in the ODI and T20I formats. However, the top batsmen still need to establish their dominance in cricket’s longest format.
Fans expressed their emotions on social media when Kohli was knocked for 12 against spinner Todd Murphy, where Alex Carey made an outstanding catch behind the wicket. Kohli has been dismissed against spinners in Test cricket.

Let’s be honest. #Virat has not looked his usual destructive self in a long time especially in test cricket. #Kohli #CricketTwitter #INDvAUS

In the longest format of the game, King Kohli is expected to make a return, but for that to happen, he must get over his weakness against spinners.
He failed to read spinners, particularly left arm spinners, in the recent games. Because of the angle created by left arm bowlers, the star batter was unable to pick them up and play the ball according to merit.
India must win this series by a score of 3-1 or 4-0 in order to go to the World Test Championship final, which will take place at the Oval on June 7–11 with June 12 designated as a reserve day.
India would have a challenging opponent in Australia given their historical performance in Asian conditions.
India is currently marching ahead in 1st Test against Kangaroos and Men in Blue would be looking to win this match with ease so that they can take this confidence back in 2nd Test which will be played in Delhi.
The occasion will be pretty more special as it was Pujara’s 100th Test and fans would be expecting hundred from the ace top order batsman.
