Encounter India’s FIFA Esports Stars with Their Eyes Set on the Asian Games Podium

India has a huge population that loves football, both on the field and in virtual gaming. Now, India is excited to compete in Esports at the Asian Games for the first time, where gamers play video games competitively. Charanjot Singh and Karman Tikka will represent India in this prestigious tournament after performing well in the National Esports Championships organized by Esports Federation of India.

Before the main competition, Charanjot Singh and Karman Tikka will go to Seoul, South Korea, for a preliminary event called the seeding event, taking place from August 2 to August 6. This event will determine the initial rankings for the Asian Games competition.

With the support of the passionate gaming community in India, Charanjot and Karman hope to make their country proud by winning medals in Esports at the Asian Games. It’s a big moment for India, and they are eager to showcase their skills and compete against the best players in Asia.

Meet CHARANJOT SINGH

Charanjot Singh is a 20-year-old college student from Chandigarh who loves football. When he’s not playing FIFA on his gaming console, he’s either watching it on TV or playing football on the field. Now, he has been chosen as one of the two FIFA 22 players to represent India at the 2023 Asian Games in China.

Charanjot is ranked as the best FIFA 22 player in India and has won several championships in the country, such as the ESL India Premiership and the ILG Cup Season 3. He has also succeeded in international competitions like the FGS Singapore Open and FIFA eNations Asia Playoffs, proudly representing India in different countries.

It’s interesting to know that Charanjot didn’t have his own gaming console until a few years ago. He started playing on a friend’s computer. After winning a significant event in 2018, his parents bought him his gaming console, and now they fully support his pursuit of Esports as a potential career.

Charanjot’s mother, who works for the government, is proud of her son’s achievements and encourages him to focus on honing his skills. She ensures that his studies are not affected while he manages his gaming career responsibly.

At the Asian Games, Charanjot will carry the hopes of his parents and the entire nation as he competes to bring a medal home for India. He is determined to make his country proud and show his gaming talent on the international stage.

Meet KARMAN SINGH TIKKA

Karman Singh, a skilled 20-year-old FIFA 22 player from Delhi, goes by the in-game name “tikkatown” and is well-known in the competitive gaming community. Representing India at the Asian Games in Hangzhou puts extra pressure on him, but he is confident he can bring home a medal.

Karman has achieved significant success in the game, finishing 2nd in the Hero eISL and winning the 2nd TEC Community Cup last year. He also secured 1st place in the AIFF eFootball Challenge Qualifier and reached the top four in the ESL India Premiership Cup-8.

In the game, Karman prefers playing as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) because they have the best dribblers, which he uses to his advantage on the virtual pitch.

Besides gaming, Karman has a passion for football and supports Chelsea since their Premier League victory in 2009.

With his talent, dedication, and strategic skills, Karman has what it takes to make his country proud and achieve his dreams at the Asian Games.
