“Dreams do come true”- Chahal on Completing four years in International Cricket

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal said dreams do come true after completing four years in International Cricket on Thursday.

On 11th June 2016 Chahal started his cricketing journey as he made his debut for India against Zimbabwe in an ODI match in Harare. He returned with the figures of 1-27 in his ten overs.

Later on, on the same tour, he played his first T20 against Zimbabwe on 18th June. He expressed his happiness on Twitter where he wrote “While growing up I always wondered about this thought “Enjoy the game and chase your dreams. Dreams do come true”. Can actually say Dreams do come true. My dream came true on this day..!! 11th of June 2016 debut for India.

Taking about Chahal stats as he has played 52 ODIs and 42 T20s for Men in Blue and scalped 146 wickets across all formats. He is yet to make debut for Test Match for India.

All International cricket has been suspended from the last 3 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the test series between England-West Indies in July will mark the return of International Cricket.

The Indian team was last seen in action against South Africa as the series postponed as the lockdown was imposed due to COVID-19 in order to flatten the curve.

Men in Blue toured New Zealand earlier this year. The side won the T20 series but ended up losing the ODI and Test series. As Chahal is active on Tik Tok these days and also marks his presence when a cricketer does an Instagram live session.
