As many cricket experts, fans have lashed out on ICC on social media for choosing a venue of one of the biggest marquee event which is severely impacted by rain.
Former Indian cricketer Muhammad Azharuddin comes out in support of ICC stating that a test match can result in a draw and draw is also the satisfactory result in the longest format of the game.
went to an extent to thank ICC for adding one more reserve day so that a result can be extracted out of this much anticipated event.
“If a Test match is decided by the overs bowled then there would never be need to call it a five day game. Adding a reserve day in WTC is itself an excellent decision. A draw exist as a result in a Test match” he wrote in his Tweet.
As far as match is concerned in the ongoing WTC final between India and New Zealand both teams have played superbly where Kyle Jamieson who has clinched five wickets against India. It will be interesting to see whether the contest between both teams will result in a draw or any one side will emerge as winner.
