One of the significant features for competitive players, ranked play, won’t be available when Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10. The developers confirmed this during the CoD Next event but hinted at its eventual arrival.
Sledgehammer, the developer, revealed that Treyarch is once again taking charge of ranked play in Modern Warfare 3, just as it did for Modern Warfare 2. Treyarch is also working on Modern Warfare 3 Zombies and other content slated for the game in 2024.
While there’s no specific release date for ranked play in Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer indicated that it will likely come during season one, possibly coinciding with the Season One Reloaded update. Season one is scheduled to commence in December, suggesting that the Reloaded update and the introduction of MW3 ranked play could happen sometime in January. This is an estimate, but it aligns with previous Call of Duty release schedules.
The excitement begins at launch, but players can look forward to a wealth of post-launch content, including the introduction of the battle pass, new weapons, multiplayer maps, Zombie mode updates, and more. Ranked play is one of the highly anticipated additions for fans.
PlayStation players can participate in the MW3 beta starting tomorrow, and Modern Warfare 3 will have a global release on November 10 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Battle.net.
