Dani Ceballos opens up on training ground scuffle with David Luiz

Last week some reports revealed Arsenal teammates, Ceballos and Luiz were involved in a training ground scuffle. which left the player with a visible scratch on his nose.

It was reported that Luiz reacted angrily to a bad tackle from the midfielder during a drill game, leading to a physical conflict that had to be separated by players and staff.

Although Dani Ceballos believes that his training ground fight with David Luiz shows the squad has ‘character’.

Dani denied the rumours as ‘Fake news’ on social media and although Dani revealed that there was indeed an altercation between both players.

Speaking to The Sun, Ceballos said there’s no hard feeling between him and Luiz.

“I’m not going to say that there wasn’t a clash or a scuffle,” Ceballos said.

“It was not an exemplary behaviour but it is good to see Arsenal is alive, that the team has character.

“We are two footballers with very similar leadership qualities and these things can happen.

“We didn’t let a single day go by. We spoke that same afternoon after training. Now we have to learn so it does not happen again.”

Giving his view on the incident, manager Mikel Arteta was not happy with the fact it had been leaked to the media what took in between practice.

“I don’t like the fact that that incident comes out at all,” he said.

“I will find out where it is coming from and if that is the case, that goes completely against what I expect from each other, the privacy and the confidentiality that we need, and there will be consequences.

“Training is very competitive and issues happen a lot of times. Those things get resolved immediately within the team and there is not much to say.

“There is no problem at all.”
