Playing Cricket Career
Campher, who holds dual citizenship, was eligible to play for the Ireland cricket team because his grandmother was an Irish citizen and Curtis Campher holds an Irish passport. Curtis Campher has previously participated in cricket matches for South Africa‘s under-19 team.
Curtis Campher was included in the Ireland Wolves team for their tour of Namibia in the month of February of the year 2020. On February 21, 2020, and February 26, 2020, respectively, Curtis Campher made his Twenty20 and List A debuts for the Ireland Wolves against Namibia, respectively, as part of their tour of South Africa.
Campher was included in Ireland’s 21-man squad on July 10, 2020, and will travel to England to begin private training sessions for the One Day International (ODI) series against the England cricket team. Campher was included in Cricket Ireland’s 14-man team on July 28, 2020, in time for the series’ opening ODI. On July 30, 2020, Curtis Campher played in his first ODI match for Ireland against England. Ireland’s top score in the game was made by Campher (59 not out), but they ultimately lost by six wickets.

On August 27, of the year 2021, Campher made his Twenty 20 International (T20I) debut for Ireland versus Zimbabwe. Curtis Campher was picked to Ireland’s preliminary team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the month of September of the year 2021.
Campher made history on October 18, of the year 2021, when Curtis Campher claimed a hat-trick against the Netherlands in Ireland’s opening T20I match of the T20 World Cup. Additionally, Campher joined Rashid Khan and Lasith Malinga as the third bowlers to record four wickets in four deliveries in a T20I (Twenty 20 International) match.
Curtis Campher was included in Ireland’s Test team for their tours of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in April and March of 2023, respectively. Additionally, Curtis Campher was included in the T20I and ODI teams for the tours. On April 4th, of the year 2023, Curtis Campher played his first Test match for the Ireland cricket team against the Bangladesh cricket team.
Curtis Campher became the fourth Irishman to achieve a century in Test cricket on April 25, of the year 2023, when he hit his first century against Sri Lanka.
