Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a disappointing 2020 IPL season, finishing second from the bottom of the table and winning only 6 out of 14 matches. However, in the following year IPL 2021 season, they made a remarkable comeback, re-establishing themselves as the Comeback Kings by winning the championship for the fourth time.
CSK won 9 out of 14 matches in the league stage and scored 192 runs in the first innings against KKR in the final game. Their bowlers then put up an excellent display, bundling out KKR for 165 in the second innings, allowing CSK to win the match and lift the trophy dominantly.
