The semi-final first leg between Dortmund and PSG ended with Dortmund leading the aggregate 1-0, courtesy of a brilliant strike from Fullkrug at the Signal Iduna Park Stadium. Before the second leg began, everyone expected PSG to make a brilliant comeback at home and beat Dortmund in the match.
But as they say, if you are brave enough to take on challenges, luck always favors you, and that is what happened at Parc des Princes in the second leg of the semi-final between PSG and Dortmund. PSG were on the attack the whole match and made some brilliant moves, but were not able to put the ball into the goal post even a single time.
Dortmund got a chance to score through a corner in the 50th minute of the match and drown PSG further in the semi-final, and Mats Hummels did not disappoint. He scored a fantastic header in the empty space at the goal post and took Dortmund to a 2-0 lead in the match.
Lusi Enriqueโs men were very unlucky as they hit the post and the crossbar multiple times, but it seemed that the ball was just not ready to go inside. Kylian Mbappe, Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, and Dembele gave their all from the front line, but it was just not meant to be for the French club.

After scoring in the 50th minute, Dortmund ensured they defended properly and gave their all to save the lead. They now have a huge opportunity on their hands to win the UCL trophy after a long time and bring glory to their club.
It is not an easy task to even challenge Real Madrid in a UCL final, but Dortmund have written a fairytale in this competition thus far, and by winning the trophy, they can give the perfect ending to this tale and to Marco Reus, a once-in-a-generation player who has been at Dortmund for 12 long years.
