Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi becomes the first Indian women to drop ceremonial puck in US Hockey League -

Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, achieves a massive feat by becoming 1st Indian woman to drop ceremonial puck in US Hockey League.

She used her official Instagram account to inform her followers of this news, and as soon as she posted a video of the illustrious event, she began to receive congratulations on it.

She dropped the ceremonial puck before the match between the San Jose Sharks and Minnesota Wild, two separate clubs. The ceremonial puck is a black disc made of rigid rubber that is frequently used in ice hockey.

“Such an honour to be the first Indian woman to ‘drop the ceremonial puck’ before an Ice Hockey game,” the actor wrote on Instagram. She added, “This will forever be special!” she wrote on her Instagram account.

Dwelling more into the details of National Hockey Championships, it usually comprises of 32 teams where 25 teams belong to United States of America and 7 belong to Canada.

The ceremony where puck is dropped in which Quershi participated, as part of ritual it usually happen in pre gaming activities and ahead of every match.

The rules of the game in this marquee event is pretty basic, where the game is played across three quarters with 20 minutes each dedicated to each one of them.

The tournament is usually held between the period of October to April and involves 82 matches.

Talking about last year, Robin Bawa was involved in dropping ceremonial puck.

This year several pre festive activities was involved where Holi Celebrations also took place also involved many singing and dance performances to put Championship to different pedestal.

Host San Jose Sharks took responsibility of entire event and thanked Huma for participating in this ceremony.
