Big Breaking: Indian Women’s Hockey Team Lost against Australia by 3-5 at Perth despite Valliant Effort

Indian Hockey is on the rise and credit should be given to all stakeholders who have worked hard behind the scenes to make this entity extremely popular.

When you compare- Indian men’s and women’s team, where the former have emerge victorious on two successive Olympic events where they won bronze medal in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics respectively.

Several Stars have been produced in Indian Hockey and the same will be applicable for women’s hockey- as they might not have won medals in Olympics but they have instilled fighting sprit which can be clearly understood against Australia where they are currently in Australia to play 5 Match Series.

In the final quarter, India put up valiant effort, where Lalresiami scored yet another goal in 50th minute and scoreline became 3-5.

 

The last quarter, gave equal opportunities to both teams, India did put brilliant performances, but couldn’t pulled game back against Australia.

Eventually the game concluded by 5-3 in favor of Australia, if India could have launched attack in first 3 quarter, the results might have been different.

Indian women’s hockey team losses to NZ 0-1 in third match

India failed to launch counterattack in first 3 quarters which brought absolute debacle in terms of result in the making.

The Indian women’s Hockey team wore black armbands to showcase solidarity for all innocent civillians who lost their lives in Pahalgam attack on April 22nd 2025.

The Indian team management team has decided that they will continue to wear black armbands for remaining four match series to express their solidarity.

The Indian women’s Hockey team would be looking to bounce back in 2nd match on Sunday at Perth Stadium.

Indian women’s Hockey team needs to work on- Psychologically and attacking instinct if they can manage that they would easily give tough time to Australia.
