Big Breaking: All India Football Federation offers Khalid Jamil India U-23 Coaching Job Role
Many people have raised eyebrows on distinct decisions taken by All India Football Federation, where they are not doing enough to make Blue Tigers absolute powerhouse in Asian and World Football.
They must be credited for things that have been fruitful, one such decision came after they appointed Khalid Jamil as new India’s U-23 Coach.
The recently concluded ISL Super Cup played between FC GOA and Jamshedpur FC where the former defeated later by 3-0 successfully led by Coach Manolo Marquez (FC Goa) who will be helming responsibilities of Indian team coach.
Jamshedpur FC Coach, Khalid Jamil deserve appreciation for the way he took his team in the final.
Why the success story for Khalid Jamil Feels Personal? As if we dig deep down, there are mostly foreign coaches operating for distinct franchise in ISL.
Only Jamil being one of the few Indian coaches came up the ranks due to his consistent performance, grit and determination where he accelerated up the ladder.
He deserve all the praise going forward if he does magic with India U-23 team he could be subsequently promoted as the Head Coach of Indian Football Team.
Khalid Jamil is certified and skilled coach from AIFF level 2 and Level 3 course and he deserve all the praise for his verstality and tactical acumen.

His appointment came after India would be fielding their U-23 team for next year Asian Games and Asian U-23 games qualifier which will be held in September next year.
The Indian Football Federation is keenly looking to start early preparations, and has identified Jamil who is currently contracted with Jamshedpur FC and he was also adjudged AIFF Goalkeeper of the year.
It seems that Jamil will take up this role however Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari confirmed on this news while talking to distinct media outlets ” The AIFF has spoken to us and Khalid and offered him the role but nothing has been decided also choice lies with him also”
If he accept this offer, it would be interesting to see if he accept this role will he juggle around both jobs as coaching for Indian team and for franchise is a different ball game all together.
Based on sources closed to developments, Khalid Jamil is yet to make his mind and officials need to do some convincing them for this role as the India’s U-23 team deserve importance.
Jamil received praise from all quarters after successfully taking Jamshedpur FC in ISL Super Cup final.
Initially when he started Indian players skills were not upto the mark, but the ace man didn’t give up and ignited dreams in heart and minds of all those players who subsequently developed themselves in later years and deserve praise for it.
If you look at the ISL Semifinal where they missed final berth narrowly by getting defeated against Mohun Bagan Super Giants as Sports doesn’t operate on If’s and But’s if things would have panned out the way he wanted it to be turned out it would cheery on the cake in bright coaching career for Khalid Jamil.
Even outgoing FC Goa and Current Indian Team Coach raised voice in support for Khalid Jamil where he stated that he is certainly one of the best coaches we have in Football.
“People may not like his coaching style in Football or not but you judge every coach or manager performance based on the outcome they will produce and results are there for Jamil to showcase his resume where he recently guided Jamshedpur FC in ISL Semifinal followed by emerging as Runner up in recently concluded ISL Super Cup which we won recently but as a coach Jamil have been brilliant for Jamshedpur FC”
However if Jamil take up the role for Asia Cup U-23 Qualifiers round where they can field more than 3 players in any side and rest would be below U-23 age and the qualifier will be held on May 29th 2025 at Kuala Lumpur.
Jamil is one of the most qualified and skilled coach for Indian Football what clicked the most for him as coaching astute that he has been associated with setup for quite some time now.
If you are part of management for couple of years you understand the dynamics of management what they require from you and how he need to carry players with some value system so that they can exhibit the same class of football when it mattered the most.
Jamil appointment for India U-23 is extremely important if he takes up the role as he is the only guy who better understand the domestic ecosystem for Blue tigers and the biggest concern for senior national team have been looking beyond Sunil Chhetri who is still contributing with goals for India even at 40 years old.
In Sport, 40 years old is an age where you expect players to retire so that young guns can fill the shoes.
The All India Football Federation have certainly created roadmap for AIFF 2047 roadmap in order to emerge best team in Asian and Indian Ecosystem but there are several things which they need to do correct in order to become winner but we all know that it might take heavy toll on them to execute all those plans.
The All India Football Federation certainly needs to consult with Jamil and Indian Coaches, on how we can employ certain coaches at domestic level where they can play raw talent and subsequently furnished their skills to next level.
The All India Football Federation should engage private stakeholders who have to promote and market Indian Super League effectively.
AIFF would be looking to convince Khalid Jamil to take up this role as he is the right man for the job with his attacking instinct he can change the crux of Indian Football.
India’s road to redemption will take long but qualified coaches like Jamil would help Blue Tigers, to find pathway and navigate success going forward for Indian national team.
Overall, it all depends on Jamil whether he will take up that role or not, if he does it would good for Indian football if not It will be worst for them.
