The biggest esports event of the year- the BattleGrounds Mobile India Master Series is going to be held from 24th June to July 17th. It will be digitally streamed live on its streaming partner Loco, and InMobi’s lock screen infotainment service, Glance, in Hindi, English and Tamil. Nodwin Gaming, the organizing body of the BGMI Master Series tournament, has announced an official partnership with Loco and Glance as its digital streaming partner – which will broadcast the three weeks-long tournaments on the television channel Star Sports 2 as well.
So what is so great about this series?
In Indian history of Esports, this would be the first time any Esport would get streamed on television! Moreover, this tournament comes with a whopping prize pool of 1.5 crore rupees!
Teams to watch out for in BGMI Masters Series 2022
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series, held in January this year, offered a total prize pool of Rs 1 crore. The tournament was a precursor to the international PUBG Mobile Global Championship, and saw esports team Skylightz Gaming take the top prize to represent India in Krafton’s global gaming tournament.
Team Soul, who claimed the BMPS Season 1 crown, will be among the best competitors for the trophy. Their star player Goblin was the MVP of BMPS and will be one of the players to watch in the Masters Series.
OR Esports and Global Esports will also be some of the top contenders as they have had sparkling performances in the last few months. Global Esports won the TEC Invitational, which concluded on June 16.
TSM and GodLike will be arch rivals at the event due to the ongoing controversy. On Sunday, GodLike signed former TSM player Shadow as an IGL for their upcoming tournaments. Meanwhile, TSM accused GodLike of poaching Shadow and claimed that he is still under contract with the team.
The tournament will see India’s top 24 BGMI squads battling for glory. The teams, with fan bases reaching up to millions that have dominated the digital space, will take their game prowess, star performances and rivalries on linear distribution for the nation to enjoy.
