The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 is just around the corner, and the excitement is building. To help teams prepare for the main event, Krafton is hosting BGIS 2023 The Grind, a pre-season scrimmage session.
The Grind will feature 256 invited teams, divided into two groups of 128 each. The teams will compete in a series of matches over five weeks, with the top 64 teams from each group advancing to the Grand India Series.
The format for The Grind is as follows:
- Each week, the teams will play six matches in Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, and Vikendi.
- The top 16 teams from each week will advance to the next week.
- The top 64 teams from the fifth week will qualify for the Grand India Series.
- The Grind is a great opportunity for teams to test their skills and strategies against the best of the best in India. It will also be a chance for teams to get used to the new format for the BGIS 2023.
The Grind will be broadcast live on the Krafton India Esports YouTube channel. The matches will start at 12:00 PM IST every day.
The prize pool for The Grind is not yet known, but it is expected to be substantial. The top teams will earn a share of the prize pool, as well as the bragging rights of being the best team in India before the BGIS 2023.
