The first day of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 Grand Finals was a thrilling one, with the top 16 teams in India competing for a share of the ₹2 crore prize pool. Revenant Esports and Gods Reign emerged as the frontrunners on Day 1, both teams finishing with 83 points. Revenant Esports bagged the top spot in the overall standings thanks to their more consistent performance across the six matches, while Gods Reign ended the day with a bang, winning the final match of the day with a 31-point Chicken Dinner.
OR Esports and Team X Spark finished in third and fourth places, respectively, with 62 and 52 points. Midwave Esports rounded out the top five with 51 points.
