Jasprit Bumrah 3/20 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
Captain Rohit Sharma 48, Suryakumar Yadav 38 and Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten 32 help Mumbai Indians to set a target of 187 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After losing Moeen Ali early Royal Challengers Bangalore were 116 for 2 in 13.3 and Virat & AB De Villiers at the crease. It looks like RCB will win the match easily but then best bowler in the world Jasprit Bumrah took the wicket of the best batsman in the world Virat Kohli. Then Bumrah took wickets of Hetmyer & Grandhomme in quick succession.
AB De Villiers still in the crease but Bumrah & Malinga death bowling help Mumbai Indians to beat RCB. Virat Kohli hit 3 fours in Bumrah first over but then Bumrah only gave 8 runs in next three overs and took 3 wickets. Mumbai Indians won the match by 6 runs. This spell shows why he is the best bowler in the world.
Harbhajan Singh 3/20 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
Defending champion Chennai Super Kings was playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chennai won the toss & elected to field first. Harbhajan Singh gave the first breakthrough as Virat Kohli got out for 6. Virat’s wicket builds the confidence of Harbhajan that shows in his bowling.
After Virat wicket, Harbhajan took two more wickets of Moeen Ali and AB De Villiers in next two overs. Harbhajan Singh 3 for 20 put Royal Challengers Bangalore under pressure. RCB batsman didn’t get the solution for Chennai spinner & RCB all-out for just 70. Chennai won the match by 7 wickets.
Imran Tahir 3/9 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
The first match of the IPL 2019 defending champion Chennai Super Kings chooses to field first. Chennai was playing with Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja & Imran Tahir. Chennai opens the attack with Deepak Chahar and Harbhajan Singh.
Harbhajan Singh three important wickets of Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, and Moeen Ali. Bangalore was 4 for 39 in 8 overs. As Bangalore top order failed against Harbhajan Singh and lower middle order don’t have any clue against leg spinner Imran Tahir. He took wickets of Shivam Dube, Navdeep Saini & Yuzvendra Chahal. Kagiso Rabada 2/25 vs Mumbai Indians
After the 83 runs partnership between Shikhar Dhawan (43) and Colin Ingram (47), Delhi lost quick wickets in the middle but then quick fire 27 balls 78 from Rishabh Pant help his team to 213 in 20 overs. Rohit & De Kock gave a good start as they add 33 in 3.3 overs but then Mumbai lost their way in the middle. Then Yuvraj added 50 with Krunal Pandya and 39 with Pollard.
At one point Yuvraj was looking to build the partnership with Ben Cutting but then Kagiso Rabada took important wickets of Cutting & Yuvraj. He only gave 23 runs in his 4 overs. He only gets two wickets but that time was important and that put Mumbai Indian on the back foot. Delhi won the match by 37 runs and start their campaign with a win against three times champion Mumbai Indians.
M. Ashwin 2/25 vs Mumbai Indians
After the loss against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab made one change as leggie Murugan Ashwin came in for the costliest player of the IPL 2019 auction Varun Chakrawarthy. After the good start from Mumbai opener Rohit got out for 32 then leggie M. Ashwin trapped Suryakumar Yadav in front of the stumps.
Yuvraj Singh struggled against M. Ashwin and then 15th over Ashwin took a wicket of Yuvraj Singh. Murugan Ashwin plays a key role to restrict Mumbai Indian to 177 and then KL Rahul (71*) & Mayank Agarwal (43) help Kings XI Punjab to win the match by 8 wickets.
