Team India faced another blow in the ongoing series against Australia as Indian pacer Umesh Yadav suffered a calf muscles injury while bowling on the third day against the host on Day 3 was immediately taken off the field and could not carry on with his bowling further on the day.

As the visitors lost the services of Mohammad Shami in the middle of the first test who has been a member of the Indian Test cricket lineup for so many years. If Umesh gets ruled out from the tournament it will be a huge blow for India as the only option who will replace him in the third Test match onwards will be Navdeep Saini.

Umesh Yadav before stepping out from the field picked up the wicket of Australian Opener Joe Burns who is struggling to find his rhythm with the bat where the latter scored four runs with a delivery that moved away after hitting the deck which caught the outside edge and straight into the keeper’s gloves. He will be taken for scans to determine the seriousness of the injury, confirmed from BCCI.

Taking about the match team India is in the commanding situation in the ongoing Test match as the visitors are on the verge of clinching victory provided they take 4 remaining wickets of Australia on day 4. Indian bowlers will be looking to clean up the tail and get a target less than 100 to chase in the fourth innings which would eventually help them to level the four-match ongoing series by 1-1.
