Former Spanish footballer Miguel Jones passed away on 8th April in Madrid at the age of 81. The Atletico Madrid player was suffering from a prolonged cancer.
The entire football community mourned over his demise. Grieving over his death, his club Atletico Madrid tweeted “The red and white family is mourning the death of one of our mythical legends: Miguel Jones. You will always be in our hearts.”

Born in Equatorial Guinea, the legendary footballer started his career playing for local football clubs, Indautxu and Barakaldo. He became a member of the Atletico Madrid football club in 1959 and represented Spain on behalf of the team for 8 years. He has had a very successful career winning several matches of Atletico including prominent titles of La Liga and Copa del Generalisimo.
