Rashid Khan becomes 2nd highest wicket-taker in T20I Cricket

On Tuesday, Afghanistan spinner, Rashid Khan went up to No.2 in the T20I bowling chart after beating Bangladesh by 7 wickets to gain their second win in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.

Rashid Khan picked up 3 wickets against Bangladesh which helped him went past New Zealand fast pacer Tim Southee to become the second-highest wicket taker in men’s T20Is.

Afghanistan leg-spinner, who had 112 wickets under his name before yesterday’s match against Bangladesh as he picked up 3-22 with the wickets of Mushfiqur Rahim, Afif Hossain and Mahmudullah to move up to 115 wickets.

New Zealand Tim Southee had 114 wickets and was the second on the list of highest wicket-takers in T20I format.

The Afghan leg-spinner, Rashid Khan is now only behind Bangladesh skipper Shakib al Hasan who has 122 wickets under his name in T20I format. In the last match, Bangladesh all-rounder picked up Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz to intact his top spot of the list.
