This weekend’s round of Premier League fixtures will be the first time since March as we see fans return to some Premier League grounds after pandemic lockdown end on Wednesday.
Among the venues allowed to host up to 2,000 spectators will be The North London Derby when Tottenham will host their North London rivals, Arsenal.
Although Arsenal Mikel Arteta believes that Spurs have an advantage over Arsenal going into the North London Derby when the two side meets on Sunday.
As both London teams are competing in Europa league as Arsenal side were focused after struggling in Premier League on Thursday night as they beat Rapid Vienna 3-1 to secure top spot in their Europa League group.
Alternatively, Tottenham looked disappointing in a 3-3 draw away to Austrian side LASK and needs to win their last match of the group to stay alive in the Europa League.
Speaking in his press conference, Mikel Arteta said spurs might have a slight edge chance with fans coming to stadium
“Well probably, because this sport without fans is completely different and everything is flat” he said when asked if Jose Mourinho’s men have the advantage.
“The players lose a bit of purpose and emotion and it’s something you want to share at the end of the day we are here to entertain, we are here to make the fans enjoy.
“They have a huge passion for our football club and when they are able to transmit that that gets directly into the players.
“And yeah for me to have them here playing at home or away it’s always different and it’s just because of them.”
As per League standings, Tottenham Spurs currently sit top of the league having scored the most goals and conceded the least in the league and on other hand, Arsenal are 14th in the table and have their worst ever points tally after 10 games in a Premier League season.
