The 17-year-old chap latched on to the crossfield ball assisted by Lionel Messi and fired back the ball in between the legs of Levante’s shot-stopper, Aitor Fernandez to give Barcelona a well deserved before the half-an-hour mark. Two minutes later in the first, the Guinea-Bissau born striker linked up with the Argentina legend Messi to double the lead for Barcelona. Though it was lucky as Fernandez lobbed the ball, Fati’s presence o mind allowed him to bag the double.

On the other hand, Levante looked dull against the Blaugrana side who had defeated Barcelona by a scoreline of 3-1 when Ernesto Valverde was the club manager. However, they added a consolation goal for themselves when Ruben Rochina scored a goal in the stoppage time. The victory against lower placed Levante has taken Barcelona within three points of league leaders Real Madrid.
Talking to the reporters, Ansu Fati said:
“This is all a dream, I dreamed of moments like this and I want to thank my team mates and my coach for giving me another opportunity,”Â
“It’s not easy to come into a team like this as a young boy but I’m very grateful for the support I’ve had. I’ve still got a lot more to come, I like playing with Messi it’s a dream to play alongside him, but I want to continue fighting for my place.”
