After the Conference League last year, Jose Mourinho is just a step away from winning back-to-back European titles!

Portuguese Master tactician and former Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man United, Inter Milan and Spurs boss Jose Mourinho “the special one” is one win away from giving Roma Fans something they had never imagined even in their wildest dreams.

Last year, AS Roma wrote history under the management of Mourinho after becoming the inaugural champions of the UEFA Europa Conference League, the 3rd tier of European football. It was the Italian outfit’s first ever success in an European competition and they could have never done it without Jose himself.

The conference league win was somehow bigger than Roma’s comeback win against FC Barcelona in the Quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2018. The conference league champions traveled flew to Germany for the Europa League semi-final 2nd leg at the Bay Arena.

His team mainly Parked the Bus against Bayer Leverkusen after a 1-0 win in the first leg at Rome. Midfielder Edoardo Bove’s goal was enough to seal the deal for Roma who have now entered back-to-back European finals.

In the final, they are all set to face Europa League’s most successful team Sevilla who will be vying for their record 7th 2nd tier European trophy. But they will also face a team whose manager has previously won the Europa League with Manchester United.

The Portuguese’s next target is of course the Europa League but he will have his sight on winning the Serie A, something he has won Twice with former employers Inter Milan. Roma have won Serie A 3 times but its been 2 decades since the Romans conquered Italy.

But even if Mourinho doesn’t win the Italian league, his name is obvious to be forever engraved in the memory of Roma Fans and management, but Mourinho doesn’t have any problem even it doesn’t happen.

“My concern isn’t marking my place in the Roma history books. It’s helping these kids to grow, to achieve important things. It’s also helping the Roma fans who have given me so much since day one. It’s an immense joy to get to another final.”
