After Anderson’s 600, Yuvraj Singh sets Jasprit Bumrah a target of at least 400 Test wickets

The fifth day of the third Test between Pakistan and England saw James Anderson becoming the first-ever fast bowler to claim 600 wickets in Test cricket. He accounted for the wicket of Azhar Ali to reach the historic feat. He is now fourth in the list of all-time highest wicket-takers in Test cricket, behind Muthiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne and Anil Kumble.

Though the Test ended in a draw, England won the series 1-0. The series marks their first Test series victory against Pakistan since 2010.

A lot of cricketers took to Twitter to congratulate Anderson on the historic feat. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah too congratulated Anderson for achieving the remarkable feat.

Congratulations for your remarkable achievement @jimmy9! Your passion, fortitude and drive are exceptional, cheers and best wishes for the future. #600TestWickets” he tweeted.

Jasprit Bumrah is currently looked as one of the best fast-bowlers in world cricket. He made a phenomenal start to his Test cricket, having claimed a five-for each in his first three overseas tours against South Africa, England and Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah has represented India in 14 Tests and 64 One-Day Internationals, claiming 68 and 104 wickets respectively. He has as many as 5 five-wicket hauls in his Test cricket career so far. As of now, he is all set to hit the ground running in the upcoming edition of IPL.
