Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2018 has been a match of attraction since the seasons started. There has been an immense tension as to which time of the year the tour match series will start. The tension has been suppressed a bit with the revelation of Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2018. Almost each year, a season of Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh takes place and this year is no different. According to the sources, it has been confirmed that this year’s season will be held in the month of October and will continue till mid November. The Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh was initially planned to make happen in the month of January, 2019. But later it was rescheduled and preponed to October, 2018.

The Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2018 will commence on and from 21st of October, 2018 and will extend till 15th of November, 2018. Unlike the previous season, this season will comprise of three One Day Internationals and two test matches from the test match series. The ODIs will be played first followed by the test matches. The matches will be played in various stadiums of Bangladesh.

The Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2018 season will commence with the 1st One Day International from the ODI series comprising of 3 ODI matches. The first ODI match will be held at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on 21st of October, 2018 (Sunday) at 1:30 PM IST (8:00 AM GMT). The second ODI match will be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong on 24th of October, 2018 (Wednesday) at 1:30 PM IST (8:00 AM GMT). The third and the final ODI match of the Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2018 season will be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong on 26th of October, 2018 (Friday) at 1:30 PM IST (8:00 AM GMT).

The set of matches that will follow the One Day Internationals will be the test series comprises of two test matches. The first test match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will be held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet from 3rd of November, 2018 (Saturday) to 7th of November, 2018 (Wednesday) at 9:00 AM IST (3:30 AM GMT). The last but not the least is the 2nd and the last test match of the series and also the last match of the season, will be held at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka from 11th of November, 2018 (Sunday) to 15th of November, 2018 (Thursday) at 9:00 AM IST (3:30 AM GMT).

An Overview of Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2018

As 2019 marks the beginning with a number of tour matches, 2018 year ending months will also be experiencing quite a handful of tour matches apart from the regular face-offs. In the last season of Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh that occurred in the last year, that is 2017-18, it was a tri nation series where three countries played against each other. These three countries were Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Out of the four matches, Bangladesh won two matches against Zimbabwe, one by 8 wickets and 129 balls remaining while the other by 91 runs. In the 2016 Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh, there were only four matches of only the T20I series. All the matches were played in the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium of Khulna, Bangladesh. Bangladesh won the first and the second T20I against Zimbabwe by 4 wickets and 42 runs respectively. In the 3rd and the 4th T20I of the season, Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh and won by 31 runs and 18 runs respectively. Both the teams played very well.

The squads of Zimbabwe Tour of Bangladesh 2016 consisted of Mashrafe Mortaza as the captain of Bangladesh and Elton Chigumbura as the captain of Zimbabwe. The other players of the squads were:
