In order to improve its engagement with the RCB Universe across the nation and internationally, Royal Challengers Bangalore has established “The RCB Podcast,” to engage not only with its supporters but the entire sporting ecosystem.
Virat Kohli has recently been the part of in this podcast. When asked about his poor form phase and subsequent comeback during the discussion, he stated that MS Dhoni was the person who was always there for him to support him, and Anushka was always there in difficult moments.
When asked about his career’s early ups and downs in Test cricket, the former India captain said: “I started doing better since 2010.” In 2011, I took my first Test, and it didn’t go well. I was cut from the team before returning at the end of the year.
I had a few opportunities, made a few runs, travelled to Australia, and played in two terrible Test matches to start. But, despite all chances, I managed to get back on track and played a fantastic Test match in Perth. Then, in Adelaide, I reached my first Test century. In the Test level, I had kind of begun to master my game.
Virat Kohli remembers how the Edgbaston crowd greeted him to the field in 2018. He added “My heart was beating and all I could think of was the flashes of 2014.” There were perhaps 35,000 fans in attendance, and as soon as I entered the field, they all started to boo.” Yet, when you’re out of shape, you occasionally need to take a step back and give yourself some space to reflect calmly. This would undoubtedly succeed” he said.
