WPL 2023 : Royal Challengers Bangalore Women register their maiden victory against UP Warriorz!

The jinx and the desperate search of a win is over for Smirit Mandhana and Co. as Royal Challengers Bangalore Women have earned an elusive victory in the Women’s Premier League 2023. The star studded team was expected to be at the Top half of the standings but after a run of 5-games without a win, RCB(W) defeated UP Waariorz by 5 wickets to grab 2 points.

Bangalore has managed to win a contest at long last! They are still competing for a postseason spot. However, the pursuit wasn’t as simple as we had anticipated at the beginning of the second inning. They started off to a fast start thanks to Sophie Devine, but as soon as she fell, they lost the top four.

UP was once thought to have a good chance of winning, but Kanika Ahuja and Richa Ghosh played brilliantly to create a winning stand. Kanika delivered a flawless strike. She was the center of the stand between the two and batted wonderfully.

Before to Kanika Ahuja got out, they had brought their squad so close to victory. Richa, however, remained there until the very end helped her side pick up their maiden win.

The UP bowlers were excellent; they turned a score that we thought was below average into a match. In the beginning, players like Deepti Sharma and Sophie Devine were excellent. Nevertheless, as the contest went on. Their defense and bowling both fell short of expectations, which is what ultimately cost them the game. They successfully fought back, but they were unable to seize crucial opportunities.

They lost a few wickets early on, according to Smriti Mandhana, but Kanika Ahuja and Richa Ghosh performed admirably. Even though she was anxious, she supported her team and wanted them to triumph. Everyone thinks that Kanika Ahuja’s unique style of batting thrill everyone. “Thank you to all of the fans for your unwavering support.” – Mandhana concluded
