WPL 2023: RCB lost their opening game against Delhi Capitals by 60 runs

Another thrilling match was played in the second game between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women.

In terms of the game’s tempo, Delhi Capitals women and Royal Challengers Bangalore women both established strong foundations early on by scoring more than 100 runs for the first wicket.

They were supported by batters lower down the order, such as Jemimah Rodriques and Marizanne Kapp, who helped Delhi surpass 200 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, Royal Challengers Bangalore batted beautifully in the opening few overs, but Devine and Mandhana’s dismissals cost them the game.

When it came to placing their hitters in the wrong positions, RCB made a few foolish mistakes.

Ellyse Perry, who typically finishes last, was elevated to the top by RCB.

Heather Knight, who bats first in the order most of the time, was sent at number 6, which is not at all her number.

The right bowler selection must be the top priority for RCB if they are to do well in the next games.

Indian players should be strategically wise when they are chosen for the playing X1 when chasing or creating a total against the opposition side.
