This game will be played at Manchester’s Old Trafford ground. India played Pakistan on this ground earlier in the league. The league match between India and New Zealand was washed out. Though the weather improved over time but it seems the rain gods might not relent come tomorrow, when India face New Zealand in the first semi-final of the World Cup.
As per British Met. department, there is a 50 percent chance of rain at the time of the toss. There is a huge possibility of late start of the match. The weather forecast seems similar to the game against Pakistan. The match is scheduled to start at 10:30 AM local time.

Due to the overcast conditions, both teams might go with an extra pacer. Shami should be back for this game and India might choose to go with just one spinner. The overcast conditions may help New Zealand seamers with the new ball. Toss will be important in this big game.
ICC have a reserve day also for the semifinal game if the game gets washed out on the scheduled day. In case, if the game is not possible on the reserve day also, India will go through to the final owing to their higher position than New Zealand in the points table.
ICC officials will try their best to have full game on Tuesday. The forecast is possible in the start of the game and in evening which is not a bad sign. This is a day game in Manchester so it’s not a worry sign. Fans can expect a full game.
