Why Shane Warne Feels this Could be the Best Ashes Since 2005

Shane Warne Tweet

Shane Warne finally talks up about the chances of Australia winning the Ashes in 2019 and even felt that this could be the best Ashes Series since 2005.

He tweeted “I have a feeling this could be the best #ashes series since 05 ! Only a few hours away, let’s get ready to rumble! Pumped…..

Looking at the current form and past history, it looks unlikely that Australia will produce some wonders and nail the series with ease because England is on a roll after winning their maiden 50 over World Cup.

Secondly, beating England in England is a hard nut to crack for even the best. In the last 5 years, they have lost only a single test series at home, last time they lost to Sri Lanka in 2014.

The likes of Jason Roy, Joe Root, Joss Butler, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow and veteran James Anderson make for a formidable force that can challenge even the mightiest.

But Shane Warne has changed the fortunes for Australia and IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals in the past helping them claim the title. The veteran is completely banking on the men-on-mission David Warner and Steve Smith, who will leave no stone unturned in helping Australia win the Ashes after 16 years in England.

The first Ashes test has already started and looking at the scorecard it looks gloomy for Australia.
