The ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2024 is only 15 days away from us, as the hype for the tournament is only increasing with each passing day. This time, the tournament is all set to be played on the shores of the West Indies and the USA.

Multiple T20 World Cup titles
The West Indies (2012 and 2016) and England (2010 and 2022) are the only two teams to win the T20 World Cup multiple times. The rest of the teams have won it only once, as the West Indies and the England team have displayed their dominance in the tournament’s history.
Players who have played in all the T20 World Cup editions so far
You will be surprised to know that Rohit Sharma (India) and Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) are the only two players who have played in all eight editions of the T20 World Cup so far. These two players first played in the T20 World Cup in 2007 and have played in every edition since then.

Three-time appearance in the final
Sri Lanka and Pakistan are the only two teams in the history of the tournament to appear in the T20 World Cup final three times. Sri Lanka appeared in 2009, 2012, and 2014, whereas Pakistan appeared in 2007, 2009, and 2022. Both teams have surprisingly gone all the way just once.
Most runs and most wickets in a single edition
Virat Kohli (India) holds the record for the most runs in a single T20 World Cup edition, whereas Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka) holds the record for the most wickets in a single T20 World Cup edition. Kohli scored 319 runs in the 2014 edition, whereas Hasaranga took 16 wickets in the 2022 edition.
Multiple times as the as the host of the tournament
India is the only team so far to have hosted the T20 World Cup two times. However, the second time they were the hosts in 2021, the tournament was played in the UAE.
