Personal Life
Being from an African nation, Frank has not had an easy life at all. Even for representing his country in this sport, Frank Nsubuga has had to go through a lot of struggles in his life. But he has tackled all of them with a smile and a lot of hard work, making him one of the strongest reasons for the rise in Ugandan cricket.
Born on August 28, 1980, Ugandan cricketer Franco “Frank” Nsubuga is a skilled right-handed batter and off-spin bowler. He has played for the Uganda national cricket team since 2001, appearing in seven first-class games and fifty-two List A matches. Nsubuga’s batting and bowling abilities have contributed significantly to his team’s performance over the years. Nsubuga is one of the very few players who has seen everything in Uganda cricket and will now be achieving the dream of representing his country at a World Cup.
Career
Nsubuga made his international debut at the age of 16, playing for East and Central Africa in the 1997 ICC Trophy before representing Uganda in the 2001 event. He made his first-class debut against Namibia in April 2004, earning man of the match honors as Uganda won.
In the 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup against Kenya and Namibia, Nsubuga made his List A debut. Notably, he was instrumental in Uganda’s victory in Division Three of the World Cricket League in 2007, impressing in the final with a standout performance against Argentina.

Throughout his career, Nsubuga represented Uganda in a variety of international tournaments, including the ICC World Cricket League Division Four in 2018 and the ICC World Twenty20 Africa Qualifier in 2018–19.
He also played in the Africa T20 Cup in 2018 and the ICC World Cricket League Division Three competition in Oman the same year. He also played for Uganda in the 2018-19 ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier competition, where he made his T20 international debut against Botswana in May 2019.
Nsubuga continued to play international cricket, joining Uganda’s squads for a number of tournaments, including the Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament in Oman in November 2019 and the Regional Final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier tournament in Rwanda in November 2021. In May 2022, he was nominated to Uganda’s side for the Uganda Cricket World Cup Challenge League B and now will be traveling to the West Indies and the USA for the T20 World Cup.
