Zimbabwean’s young cricketer Wesley Nyasha Madhevere was born on September 4th, of the year 2000. In the month of March of the year 2020, Madhevere made his cricketing debut for Zimbabwe at the international level.
Playing Cricket Career
Madhevere made his List A debut for Mashonaland Eagles in the 2019–20 Pro50 Championship on February 8 of the year, 2020. Prior to making his List A debut, Wesley Nyasha Madhevere was chosen as the vice-captain of Zimbabwe’s team for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The International Cricket Council (ICC) named Nyasha Madhevere the team’s rising star following the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup as a result of his participation in Zimbabwe’s squads for those competitions in the years 2016 and 2018, respectively. On February 20, of the year 2020, Wessly Madhevere played for Mashonaland Eagles in the 2019–2020 Logan Cup, making his first-class debut.
Madhevere was selected for the visit against Bangladesh in the month of February of the year 2020 and was included in the Zimbabwean One Day International (ODI) and T20I (Twenty 20 International) squads. On March 1, of the year 2020, Wessly Madhevere played in his first One Day International (ODI) for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh. On March 9, of the year 2020, Wessly Madhevere played for Zimbabwe in his first T20I (Twenty 20 International) match against Bangladesh.
Madhevere was chosen to represent the Eagles in the 2020–21 Logan Cup in the month of December of that year. Madhevere was included in Zimbabwe’s Test squad for their series against Afghanistan in the month of February of the year 2021. On March 2, of the year 2021, Wessly Madhevere played in his first Test match for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan.
Wesley Nyasha Madhevere was included in the Zimbabwe One Day International (ODI) team for their series against the Netherlands in the month of March of the year 2023. Wesley Nyasha Madhevere took a hat-trick in the second OneDay International (ODI) on March 23, of the year 2023, making him the third Zimbabwean player to do so.
