Star Indian All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who staged an outstanding comeback to International cricket after a 6-month Injury lay-off during Asia Cup 2022 at UAE. He sustained a fringe knee injury which ruled him out of the rest of Asia Cup and the ICC Men’s T20 World cup 2022.
His absence landed a major blow to India’s chances of progressing through to the World cup as India lost against England by 10 wickets in the Semi-final. Jadeja returned for the first time since September in Ranji Trophy 2022/23 for Saurashtra in order to warm up a little before the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

In his Ranji come back, Jadeja performed well for Saurashtra and his stature ensured him a direct entry into the Indian team. His return was a type that was never on seen before. The 34-year-old surprised the Aussies and named home a 5-wicket haul to help India beat Australia by an innings and 132 runs.

He came in handy with his bat too. In India’s 1st innings at Nagpur, Jadeja smacked an important 70 off 185 balls to help the blues register 400 runs. He collected 2 more wickets in the match during Australia’s 2nd innings and and ended the match with 7-wickets.

In the following test at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Jadeja performed even better and stormed off the Aussie batting line-up. After 3-wickets in the 1st innings, Jaddu caused the Delhi disaster. He notched 7-wickets in the 2nd Innings and picked up a total of 10 wickets in the entire match.
