Watch: Ravichandran Ashwin spotted in the recently concluded TNPL Auction

No doubt, one of the finest players in cricket right now is Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin is a tremendously successful cricket player because of the way he researches his opponents and comes up with plans to defeat them. Yet Ashwin’s contributions to his teams go beyond only his on-field success. At the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 auction, Ashwin also developed into a tactician and assisted Dindigul Dragons in securing their desired players from the bidding war.

Fans simply couldn’t remain cool after seeing Ashwin on the TNPL rankings. Pictures of Ashwin taken in the auction room quickly went viral on social media.

In the two Test matches India has played against Australia so far, Ashwin has been one of India’s go-to bowlers, and he hasn’t failed to perform on the 22-yard strip. Together, Ashwin and Jadeja’s bowling has given India a 2-0 lead in the four-match series.

Although, Jadeja’s outstanding performance in the first two Tests against Australia propelled him into the top 10 of the ICC Test bowling rankings. With 17 wickets from the two Test matches, the left-arm bowler leads the Border-Gavaskar series and has rocketed to the ninth spot in the bowler rankings. Jadeja is the third Indian in the top 10, joining Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin.

With Ashwin presently in second place, James Anderson, 40, is currently in first place. Due to Ashwin’s momentum in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Anderson’s position at the head of the list is in peril.
