Rashid Khan distinguished himself as the game’s greatest bowler during the GT vs. KKR Live IPL 2023 match by recording the season’s first hat-trick. Rashid eliminated Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Sharudl Thakur in the 17th over of the inning. Prior to Rashid’s Over, KKR appeared to be completely in control, but the leg-spinner turned the game around.

Russell was caught by replacement fielder Srikar Bharat in the 16.1 over, and Rashid got rid of him when the Gladiators requested a review of the catch. Russell was dismissed as the umpire raised his finger, giving Rashid another wicket for his tally. The pitch was a googly on the leg stump, and Russell made a strong effort to pull it. He only succeeded in getting an under-edge onto his thigh, which was an easy catch for the keeper.
2. Sunil Narine
The very next delivery, Rashid continued his strong play by dismissing Narine, who was caught by replacement fielder Jayant Yadav. The ball went directly to the fielder despite Narine’s attempt to throw it across the line. After taking his second wicket in as many balls, Rashid celebrated casually with his arms spread wide. Another googly on the leg stump was used in the delivery, but Narine could only hit the fielder in deep. Rashid gained another wicket after Narine had to leave after only one delivery for a golden duck.
3. Shardul Thakur
In the 16.3rd over, Rashid continued his outstanding bowling as he LBWed Thakur after catching him with another googly. Rashid raced in celebration after scoring three goals, causing the crowd to explode in cheers. The decision was reviewed by KKR, but a replay revealed that the ball would have struck the stumps. Thakur had to leave after just one delivery for a golden duck as the umpire’s ruling stood. Rashid Khan was on fire, taking three wickets in three balls to give KKR the upper hand.
